Ann Marie McQueen

Ann Marie McQueen, based in Abu Dhabi, is a freelance journalist working in digital, print and broadcast media. She reports for a wide variety of outlets, including CBC Radio's The World This Weekend, The National, The Middle East Institute, Women's Health and Vogue Arabia. A native of Canada, McQueen was a columnist and senior writer for the national newspaper chain Sun Media. She received several awards for her writing. She was an early adopter in digital media, becoming the first writer chosen to blog for Sun Media. McQueen moved to Abu Dhabi in 2008 to help launch The National newspaper. She is currently writing a screenplay and working on a book about her time in the UAE.
